It’s Friday and I’m very excited about today’s post because I am finally featuring my own wedding on the blog! If you don’t know me, that’s okay, let me introduce myself… I’m Megan Rowan and I am the owner of De Ma Fille Bridal. I have enjoyed helping my brides find their beautiful dresses for the past 7 years. I actually love the story on how I found my own dream dress. When the new Cinderella movie came out, I enjoyed that dress twirling scene so much that the next day I just wanted to put on one of our ball gowns and twirl around myself. Well, I definitely had no idea that this was going to be my moment and I just knew that this was the one! In a lot of these photos you can definitely see that twirling in my dress was one of my favorite things to do on our special day. I chose a beautiful drop waist ball gown from Essense of Australia that had silver lace appliqués with crystal pearl beading and a sweetheart neckline. Our wedding was like a romantic fairy tale and our theme was an Enchanted Forest. We used some of my favorite colors such as blush, lavender, and silver with of course lots of greenery!
Being in the wedding business, I absolutely knew there were going to be a some vendors that I had to enlist to make this special day absolutely perfect. First vendor was Tami Winn which helped make my floral dream come true! The roses, the hydrangeas and ivy simply took my breath away and Tami is so professional and wonderful to work with, and she is also one of the best wedding planners in the DFW area. Second vendor was Jamie with Creme da la Creme who made our delicious almond wedding cake which was absolutely divine. Since my husband isn’t into sweets he had a different take on the “grooms cake”; instead he asked for lemon blackberry cake balls, Jamie delivered and goodness were they scrumptious and our guests still haven’t stopped talking about those cake balls! Third vendor was Anita with Elan Makeup Studio, and to be completely honest I think she is simply gorgeous and therefore I knew she was going to make me look gorgeous! Since you can’t plan a wedding without a date, and to have a date you need to book a venue, and this is where Piazza in the Village in Colleyville comes in. When I first saw this venue years ago I knew this is where I was going to get married. The chandeliers are simply gorgeous, the European elegance fit mine and Shaun’s personality, and their food was just amazing!
I loved all of the small details of our wedding and to me that was one of the best parts about wedding planning. My something old was my Granny’s butterfly pin that I attached to my Alpha Gamma Delta handkerchief. My something blue was a London Blue Topaz Celtic ring. Our toasting flutes are hand blown glass that I bought from Waterford Crystal in Ireland when I was 16… I saved those suckers for 12 years before getting to use them!! Again, since we had an Enchanted Forest theme, I wanted lots of flowers, flower crowns, moss, and ivy to create a whimsical and romantic vibe (the new Cinderella movie inspired me a lot). Shaun and I wrote our vows to each other, and planned every song carefully and each song fit us as a couple perfectly. We also chose a unique option for our unity symbol, we chose to have three colors of glass crystals that we mixed together at the ceremony and then had it sent off to be fired into a sculpture from Unity in Glass. Truly something that could not be separated and go back into its original form. And last but not least, we chose the fairy tale way of leaving our wedding… by horse and carriage and we lived happily ever after!
This past Monday, April 16th, my husband and I celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary! So I thought sharing our wedding this week just felt right. I’ve been so blessed to have him as my husband and to be Mrs. Rowan!

We have such a lovely bride to feature this Wedding Wednesday. Our bride Josephine looked absolutely stunning in her Essense of Australia wedding dress! This dress is a sexy and modern fit and flare with a textured tulle skirt completed with horsehair trim. Josephine added a touch of glitz with her crystal belt from Alvina Valenta which matched perfectly with her accessories. We also love the fashion change that Josie & Albert did mid-reception. Her emerald fitted gown was just beautiful. We also thought her floral decor at the reception was the essence of romance, and wow were we blown away by the ceiling decor!
Best wishes to the new Mr. & Mrs.!

Hope everyone is having a lovely Wedding Wednesday so far! Today we are featuring beautiful bridal portraits from our bride Kaley Taylor. Kaley wore one of our favorite Essense of Australia wedding dresses. This wedding dress has a flattering sheer halter neckline with beaded lace, and sheer back that has the same exquisite lace detailing. Overall this gown just gives off the most romantic look. Also, this wedding dress has won Best Wedding Dress of the Year from The Bridal Awards in 2017. Kaley looks absolutely stunning in her gown and it was such a pleasure to help her find her dream dress!

Happy Wedding Wednesday to all of our beautiful brides out there! Today we are so happy to feature our bride Grace in her one of a kind Essense of Australia wedding dress. Grace knew she wanted a traditional wedding dress with long sleeves. We were so excited to help her dream come true by getting extra lace and turning a strapless modified A-line into a classic long sleeve beauty. She added an antique style applique from Untamed Petals to adorn her waistline, and her custom long chapel veil gave that finishing “bridal” touch. Grace looked simply stunning on her big day at Piazza on the Green! We also can’t get over how pretty her bridesmaids looked in that Celadon color by Dessy, and they matched so well with her florals.
Congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs. Ingrum!

We are very excited to feature Merlina for this week’s Wedding Wednesday. This week is huge because Merlina and Marty are celebrating their one year anniversary! Whoop whoop! Congratulations to you both!
Merlina and Marty met each other their freshman year at Tarleton State University, and immediately romance was in the air for these two. A few years down the road, Marty would pop the question to Merlina as they were taking their senior pictures.
Their wedding was definitely a stunner being at the gorgeous Clark Gardens. The burgundy with pops of gold reflected the Fall season perfectly. Merlina definitely planned this wedding with great detail.
With our staff being Tarleton alumni and having one of our consultants as her best friend, Merlina knew she was destined to get her wedding dress with Trinidee and become a De Ma Fille Beauty! Merlina looked absolutely amazing in her fit and flare Essense of Australia wedding dress! The sweetheart neckline framed her face beautifully, and the lace was adorned with beading so she would sparkle on her big day!
Happy One Year Anniversary to Mr. & Mrs. Stinson!

This Wedding Wednesday post puts the spotlight on our bride Jordan Thompson! Jordan looked absolutely stunning in her Essense of Australia wedding dress. Her fit and flare wedding dress was adorned with a beautiful artful lace with linear pearl beading that truly gave this sweet silhouette a bit of romance. This dress has cascading buttons down the back that extends to a gorgeous lace scallop hem. We absolutely love how Jordan decided to add in her horse for her bridal portraits. Her photos were simply majestic with those shots of her horse in the meadow, her gorgeous gown, and that breathtaking view!
